Alliance with Congress intact, claims Hemant

Denying any dispute of seat sharing (10+4) in the forthcoming lok Sabha election, Jharkhand chief minister Hemant Soren said their alliance with the Congress is intact and they would jointly contest the lok Sabha polls.

“like 2004 election, JMM would continue its alliance with Congress, JMM is committed to follow the alliance rules”, said Soren adding “we have enough time and it (seat sharing) would be declared later after deiscussion”. “We are committed for the holistic development of State but not at the cost of exploitation of our people,” said Soren while addressing to the media persons at Sector-V in Bokaro on Wednesday.

“Within the last 150 days, Jharkhand has seen good growth,” claimed Soren. “Several old and new welfare projects have been started and many people were facilitated including scribes too”, said the CM. We have lots of funds for welfare works; it would be utilised properly in the current fiscal, he promised. Stressing on the willfulness of the industrial houses for acquiring lands, paying compensations and jobs to the landlords, Soren said.

Criticising the steps earlier taken by industrial housed like ESl and NTPC in Jharkhand Chief Minister said “Hooliganism would not be tolerated in the row of industrisation”. Industrial houses would have to follow the displacement rules and they have to pay the right of the beneficiaries. Admitting lack of manpower hinders the developmental works across the state Soren promised for an earliest change in ‘work culture’ of the Government officials.
