Bokaro superintendent of police Y.S. Ramesh on Monday said that the police are investigating the death of an ASI lal Jee Singh at Bokaro Thermal police station from all possible angles .The body of the deceased has been sent to his native village at Buxer in Bihar after conducting postmortem .Assistant sub inspector lal Jee Singh, was found hanged to death on Sunday morning.
Y.S. Ramesh said it seems to be case of suicide though we did not recover any suicide note .Even he had no any work pressure .But he defiantly was living under depression and having diabetic patient also. There was no substantive evidence except his lungi and towel that was used for hanging.Howerever, the police preliminary investigation reveals that the case to be more of suicide than anything else but nothing could be said till investigation would get complete.
While the Officer-in charge, who was in shocked after the incident said I have observed some changers in his behavior but never discussed any personal problem with us. We are trying to ascertain the exact reason that he was driven to take such step, he added
According to the police sources said ,at around 8am when his colleague ASI Prem Mohan Jha was out of the room ,he hanged himself with a lungi from iron hook at his barrack room .
Though the police are still clueless about the reasons behind the suicide .It said that he had been suffering from depression for the last few months .
Soon after the incident DIG Saket Kumar Singh ,SP ,Bokaro Y.S. Ramesh ,SDPO ,Bermo Raj Kumar Mehta Dy SP ,headquarter Bokaro Ajay Kumar reached at the spot and started investigation .While DIG ,Saket Kumar Singh immediately ordered an inquiry into the incident and announced compensation and a job for the deceased’s kin as per rule of Government of Jharkhand
