Thatched by the poor condition and irregular supply of electricity in the district, the women’s wing of AJSU surrounded the electricity office. Issues like burnt transformer, irregular supply of electricity, theft cases of transformers and murky deals in the electricity office were raised.
The workers said that the electricity is supplied to latehar district whisch is in a far better state than lohardaga. Besides, the power grid has also been set up in the district. The students and the farmers are among the worst sufferers of this malfunction. They also submitted a list to the executive engineer to change the transformers. The members of Samajik Vichar Manch also supported them. On the occasion Anju Devi, Anita Sahu, Sunita Sahu, Poonam Devi, Rekha Devi, Malti Toppo and many other members were present.
