AJSU party chief Sudesh Mahto along with thousands of party workers, protesting against the deteriorating law and order situation in the State, will march to Raj Bhawan on Wednesday.
Talking to media persons on Monday, Ramgarh MlA Chandra Prakash Chaudhary said that even after 13 years of formation of Jharkhand, it does not have its own domicile policy due to which thousands of youths of the State are still devoid of opportunities in the state government.
“On September 24, we will march to the Governor House and lay siege to it demanding domicile policy for the State, CBI enquiry into Tileshwar Sahu murder case, recognition to the people involved in Jharkhand movement as well as delegating the due rights to the panchayat representatives in the State,” said Chaudhary.
Expressing concern over the failure on the part of state police, which has not been able to trace out the criminals responsible for killing businessman Pawan Agrawal, Chaudhary demanded immediate arrest of the culprits.
Besides, problem of power supply to the State will also be raised. “We also demand regular electricity supply in the State as well as connecting those areas through electricity also which are still devoid of it,” said party spokesperson Deosharan Bhagat.
Referring to non-recognition to those who fought for a separate Jharkhand, Bhagat said, “In spite of the fact that the Chief Minister himself is a son of a Jharkhand movement protagonist, it is very unfortunate that the state has not been able to recognize its freedom fighters in the last 13 years.”
AJSU party also condemned the decision of the State government to give the sand quarrying rights to an outsider company from Mumbai, snatching it from its natural holders – the Gram Sabha and Panchayats, which is against the provisions of Panchayat Act. The party also castigated the state government for making thousands of workers involved in sand quarrying in the name of lease renewal jobless.
