Top leaders of AJSU party played harsh critics to political parties presently playing the role of Opposition in Jharkhand Assembly for not giving adequate attention to the issue of Domicile Policy when they were in power.

The verbal blitzkrieg came to pass on the occasion of fasting ceremony organised by AJSU on Wednesday to raise demands of implementing domicile policy and ensuring 73 per cent reservation for locals in government as well as private jobs and educational institutions. Party supporters numbering close to 2,000 congregated from all over the State near the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi at Morhabadi Ground.

led by party president and former Deputy Chief Minister Sudesh Mahto and Water Resources Minister Chandra Prakash Choudhary, the speakers gave signs of active movement without upsetting their ties with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or destabilising the incumbent government.

“Factions crying foul over formulating and implementing domicile policy today were the ones who failed to include native languages of Jharkhand in Jharkhand Public Service Commission examinations even when they were in power. AJSU party will carry on the rightful fight for ensuring the just rights to the natives of Jharkhand along maintaining a stable government in the State,” stated Tundi MlA Raj Kishore Mahto.

“Since Jharkhand was carved out of Bihar, the State has been riddled with instability in power. AJSU has toiled to give a strong and stable government to the people of Jharkhand. If need be, we will continue the fight for the rights of people while remaining in power,” said party spokesperson Devsharan Bhagat.
