As AJSU party fielding its candidates at the crucial seats in the state, is all set to make a dent into the vote bank of BJP candidates who had a fair chance of victory in their strongholds like Ranchi, Hazaribagh and Chatra. After AJSU Chief Sudesh Mahto’s entry into the poll fray from Ranchi, the party is all set to field former Chairperson of State Commission for Women Hemlata S Mohan from Dhanbad seat. BJP has alleged a tacit understanding between Congress and AJSU party in order to harm BJP in the coming lok Sabha elections.
“The game plan of AJSU party is now clear that they want to damage our vote bank at Ranchi, Chatra and Hazaribagh which was revealed after they did not file their nomination papers as one of their MlAs fled with the party symbol,” said State BJP Spokesperson Pradeep Sinha.
Sinha added that the party which has no control over its MlA’s have no right to think of representing the State in the Parliament.
“After the incidents of lohardaga and Palamu, even a layman could tell you how serious they are for this lok Sabha elections,” said Sinha.
According to Sinha, AJSU party is intended towards damaging BJP by making a dent into its vote bank while at the same time benefitting the Congress directly during the polls.
Sinha however, said that AJSU will not be succeeding in its nefarious intentions as elections are not fought only on caste factors.
“Barring some areas like Silli and adjoining areas, AJSU cannot cause a major damage to us as elections could not be fought only on the basis of caste factors. To win a Parliamentary seat, one needs support from all walks of life,” Sinha added.
People’s alignment towards the party’s leadership is clearly seen these days across the Country which will ensure the victory of BJP candidates in the state, added Sinha.
Both the Congress and AJSU party, however, rejected the allegations made by BJP saying AJSU being an independent party is free to file its candidates from anywhere.
“These are all baseless allegations as right from the day we were denied access to the statue of Birsa Munda in the premises of the Parliament building in New Delhi,” said AJSU spokesperson Deo Sharan Bhagat.
We decided that now we will not seek permission from anyone and will enter the Parliament building with the privileges after securing a seat in it, he added.
Congress spokesperson Sailesh Sinha clearly declined the allegation, also said that the party has a pact to contest elections with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha and RJD, but there is no any understanding with the AJSU party for the lok Sabha election.
AJSU party has fielded party chief Sudesh Mahto from Ranchi which is considered a mahto stronghold is all set to make a dent on the vote bank of BJP candidate Ram Tahal Chaudhary. Similarly, lok Nath Mahto, who defected from BJP after being a denied ticket from Hazaribagh is now AJSU candidate, can damage the vote bank of the BJP candidate from the seat Jayant Sinha.
In Chatra also, former RJD leader Nagmani who recently joined AJSU party has been fielded against the BJP candidate Sunil Singh as its candidate from Chatra.
