Both the candidates of AJSU—Sudesh Mahto and lamboder Mahto—filed their nominations on Monday from Silli and Gomia constituencies, respectively for the May 28 bypoll.
With this even the last hope for reconciliation between the partners BJP and AJSU faded away. Party spokesperson Deosharan Bhagat said that at Gomia AJSU’s main rival was the JMM. “BJP is not even in the race. Our alliance is done with the people who wanted AJSU to contest from here. We would not let the JMM to reap our produce like the last occasion,” said Bhagat. BJP has named Madhav lal Singh from the seat.
