In a bid to strengthen its network in the steel city, Aircel has set up 54 3G BTS (Base Transmission Station) in Jamshedpur taking the numbers of BTS to 120. Arvind Singh Shekhawat, regional manager-central, Aircel, said, “We are confident that our robust network will prove to be the best companion to our customers for their mobile phones, and will immensely help us serve our customers better”.
Commenting on the success of Aircel's 3G service, Jharkhand Aircel, business head Anand Prakash said, “Aircel witnessed an upsurge in data usage by 82% and the number of 3G users has increased by 35% last year through our innovative, value-for-money offerings.
