The Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority (AIADA) has decided to spend Rs 20 crore in developing infrastructure at Adityapur, the largest industry hub of the State with over 1,200-odd small, medium and large scale units.

As per the plans, a large chunk of amount has been earmarked for construction of PCC (plain cement concrete) Road, drainage and culverts across the phase II, phase IV and large Sector of the industrial estate. The move is being made in view of Monsoon.

Confirming about the proposed infrastructure development, the new AIADA secretary Hari Kumar Keshri said they want to give a facelift to the hub by constructing roads in the industrial area’s phase II, phase IV and large sector as it was a long standing demand as the bitumen road which was set up a decade ago is damaged.

“We have been receiving complaints from the industrialists. Moreover, during rainy season it was difficult for the people to commute. As a result of the damaged and dilapidated road, the vehicles used for carrying goods have to suffer break down. During the rainy season  both the drivers of industrial carriers as well as the workers posted at the factories would suffer a lot,” said Keshri.

The AIADA secretary said that estimate for the infrastructural development project has already been passed in a board meeting held recently and they would float a tender for the same shortly. “The industrial units should be provided with all  basic facilities like good road, water supply system, drainage and street-lights, then only the entrepreneurs as well as the workers will have a positive  working ambience. We are trying to give our best to the industrial estate and the proposed construction of PCC road, drainage system and culvert in the three industrial phases is an example,” said the secretary.
