In order to meet the land crunch, Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority (AIADA) has acquired land on the Tata Kandra Road near Dumini and soon the land will be available for purchase. Yugol Kishore Choubey , managing director, AIADA, said that the soon has been taken in view of the demand of the industrialists keen to invest.
He went on to add that existing land can be transferred to any buyer only by depositing 15  per cent of the current valuation of the land to the government.
Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Jamshedpur zonal council members under the leadership of Adarsh Agrawal (managing director JAMIPOl limited and Chairman CII Jamshedpur Zonal Council also met Choubey and appraised him of the issues.
Adarsh Agarwal submitted a report on CII Recommendations for the betterment of the industrial area. The primary objective of the meeting was to discuss the main concerns of the industry members which also included -  availability of land and transfer of land. The members also requested the managing director to clearly state and notify that a one year  time period  will be considered for transfer of land in case of an unit which is in operation. A notified communication for the same will help to negate any ambiguity that is associated with the above.
Choubey assured the members that land will be identified for allotting a parking area for the heavy vehicle which are parked on the main road and the service lanes because there is no designated area for their parking. He agreed that this is safety hazard for the people working in the industrial area and that an area will be earmarked for their parking so that accidents can be avoided.
Agrawal also requested the managing director of AIADA to help the small shanties to be converted to proper eateries with basic hygiene factors ,which could run on a self sustained model , this will also help the village folk in terms of occupation. Sanjay Sabherwal (managing director Metaldyne Industries and Convener CII Infrastructure & Supply Chain Panel) also suggested that there can be commercial complexes build in every phase so that people do not have to travel long distances for everyday utility articles. Agrawal appreciated AIADA s efforts for construction of roads and bylanes in the Industrial Area ,but he also put forth an idea that for the maintenance and upkeep of the industrial area a third party could be roped in so that the work can be accounted for.
