Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh laid the foundation stone of Krishi Vigyan Kendra on the premises of Agriculture Farm, Mandu in Ramgarh district of the state on Tuesday and said that the Central Government’s focus was agriculture to develop the nation.

“For the last few decades the governments at the Centre never took agriculture and problems of farmers seriously but for the Modi government it is in the priority list. PM Narendra Modi is himself taking interest in removing the hurdles from the path of better agriculture and prosperity of the peasants. He changed the rules so I am here at Mandu on Tuesday to lay down the foundation stone of 639th Krishi Vigyan Kendra of India,” said Singh.

“We have promised to provide irrigation water to most of the farmers of this country and very soon Pradhan Mantri Sinchai Yojna is going to be launched,” the Union Minister informed.

Talking about the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojna, starting from August 28, Singh said that the government was launching it, keeping in mind especially small peasants, labourers and poor people of the villages. Singh said that the KVK will cost about Rs20 crores and it will benefit the villagers of all 351 villages of Ramgarh district.

After attending this official programme at Mandu, the Minister went to Charhi in Hazaribagh where BJP party workers meet of Mandu assembly constituency was organized. Here too he talked about the schemes launched by the government or going to be launched and appealed the party workers to make the people aware about these schemes so that more and more people can get benefitted.

Boosting the morale of party workers Singh said, “In the beginning of 2014 you worked hard and the result came as majority government at Center. Once again you will have to work hard to have a majority government in the state so that Jharkhand can be properly developed as per the dreams of our Ex-PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.”

Hazaribagh MP Jayant Sinha was present in both programmes and in his address he stressed upon the need of a majority government for the overall development of the state. BJP district presidents of both Hazaribagh and Ramgarh, state leader Rakesh Prasad, Prahlad Barnwal and Mandu assembly segment in-charge Dr. BP Rukhaiyar also addressed the party workers at Mandu.
