For 10-year-old Khushi Kunwar, teaching poor and helpless students during her vacations is the most gratifying thing. She feels delighted to give a lesson to tribal students of her own class.

The class 5th  student had a similar background as her grandfather Sudhir Chandra Kunwar is a retired teacher and her father Gopi Krishna Kunwar has been honored with the President’s prize. Khushi Kunwar Singh studies in Bishop’s Westcott Girl’s School. She has keen interest in reading books of great leaders, drawing and teaching the poor students. At such a young age she describes the didactic things fluently.

Khushi says that she feels very disappointed to see the lives of children amidst the garbage. Why their parents are not aware to ensure their admission in schools. Whenever I come home I discuss it with my father and grand father. Instead of playing with friends Khushi goes to Harijan School nearby and teaches the students of class five. She has been compared with Malala by the principal of the school Kishor Verma who has also been felicitated with President’s Prize. He wishes for her bright future.
