The administration has started a campaign against the illegal wine sellers in the district after death of two in Kocha Barnag village of Kisko block by poisonous wine. A raid was exercised in Semardih village in the leadership of SDO Akhouri Shashank Sinha.
In this matter Vinod Oraon son of Poubwa Or4aon and Upendra Oraon son of Juria Oraon had been arrested. A total of 10 liters wine was recovered. After those 50 liters of wine was spoiled by the police in Kisko Baser Tand. The people were leaved on warning not to sell again. On the occasion SI of Kisko Thana Goral Singh was present with forces.
Notably, the campaign was run 15 days earlier by the police and 4 persons were also arrested. Mahila Mandal Sangh also runs the compaign for the same. The people are being encouraged against drug addiction. In spite of this the illegal selling of the wine is not being controlled.
