All the admissions for academic year 2019-21 in colleges offering Bachelors in Education (B.Ed) courses will be done on the basis of result of the examination organised by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB).

The State Higher, Technical Education and Skill Development department on Thursday issued a circular informing about the new rule formed following the directives of Supreme Court in two cases, Islamic Academy Vs State of Karnataka and PA Inamdar Vs Stateof Maharashtra.

“All the universities, autonomous colleges and minority colleges offering this course have been sent a letter directing them to take admission based on the directions of SC,” Rajesh Sharma, the department secretary informed.

The guidelines also forbid colleges conducting separate and independent entrance test for the admission.

The department has also rejected the request of the institutions demanding reservation of 50 percent seats for the management quota.

The entrance test for admission in two year B.Ed course for the session 2019-21 was organized by JCECEB earlier this month, the result for which was published on June 25.
