Along with this, about hundreds of vehicles were checked for other vehicle related documents like without pollution certificate, without insurance, without license and others.
In the investigation drive, action was taken against the vehicles which were using name plates without authorisation. The name plates were removed from such vehicles at the site of the investigation itself and penalty fee was collected under section 179 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988. A total penalty of Rs 26500.00 was collected from 17 vehicles.

Being written in different colours creates suspicion among people about the uniqueness of vehicles and affects traffic movement. On many occasions, even priority vehicles like ambulances have to face traffic hindrances and cause problems to the patients transporting, as well as increase in road accidents and deaths due to them in many cases.
The District Transport Officer said that the investigation campaign would be conducted regularly from time to time. He urged everyone that all motor vehicle drivers/owners should comply with the government notification.
During the investigation, Road Safety Manager Jamal and Gaurav also gave instructions related to safety to the drivers, owners.
