With revised guidelines issued by state government permitting holding of Chhath festival in public ponds and rivers top police and administrative officers inspected different locations and issued instructions for adhering to Corona guidelines for holding the festival. Senior superintendent of Police AS Minz inspected different locations. Sub-divisional magistrate Satyendar Kumar too inspected different locations and met Chhath committee members. Talking to committee members at Katras Kumar instructed them to abide by the Covid norms.
The SSP too asked police officers of different police stations to ensure peaceful and safe holding of the event.
In another move deputy commissioner Uma Shankar Singh directed Corona incident commanders not to relax and ensure the revised guidelines of government were implemented by Chhath committees .
