The Hazaribag district administration has lodged 15 FIRs on different Akharas that took part in the procession during Ramnavmi and used DJ. The police had banned the use of DJ during the procession of Ramnavmi.
Ramnavmi Mahasimiti president Kunal Yadav said in a press conference that after the passing of more than 100 processions peacefully, the police administration has taken this decision, which is a one sided action.
He further said that this is the fact that the administration had already announced that DJ will not be allowed in the procession by any Akhara, if any procession used the DJ then it will come under legal action.
Yadav said that on one side the administration expressed thanks to all Akharas after the Ramnavami festival, but on the other side police lodged FIRs on Akharas.
He further said there are so many Akharas that did not use DJ during the procession, but their name has been included in the list of FIRs. The Ramnavami Mahasimiti president met with Hazaribag Superintendent of Police, Manoj Rattan Chothey and requested him to look into the matter.
The SP has assured the delegation of Ramnavmi Mahasmiti that he will look into the matter. He said that the Akharas president gave in writing that DJ was not used by them, then after an enquiry their names will be deleted from the list of FIRs.
The present president and former presidents of Mahasimiti have assured the Akharas that if their names will not be deleted and case reaches the court then they will fight the case in the court without taking any fees.
