The district administration has finalised the funeral of Covid-19 corpses on the side of Konar River on Ranchi –Patna road. The administration came forward after the opposition by the villagers on the issue of funeral.
Sadar SDO Megha Buardwaj and MLA Manish Jaiswal along with officers visited the half dozen locations for the funeral of Covid affected corpses. On every location they faced the angry mood of the villagers. Lastly, all the officers along with the MLA finalised the site of Konar River far away from the Ranchi – Patna road.
After the finalization of the location for the funeral the secretary of Murda Kalyan Simiti disposed of two corpses near the side of Konar River on Sunday night. The third body was disposed of on Monday night.
The secretary of Murda Kalyan Simiti Md. Khalid complained to the district administration that no staff of the Hazaribag Medical College and Hospital cooperated in this work. He said that it’s not possible that one person can handle the corpses and dispose of them.
On behalf of district administration the Sadar SDO assured the secretary along with members of the committee that they will get every type of support from the administration.
The expenses on ambulance will be borne by HMCH. MLA Manish Jaiswal also assured them for every co -operation.
In Hazaribag 12 persons have died due to Corona in the last two months. The general funeral site in charge had already refused to do the funeral work. In this condition, it is needed to find the spot for Covid corpses funeral.
