Meanwhile, in another development, Chief Minister Hemant Soren addressed the Zamindari rights being enjoyed by Hazaribagh Municipality till now under the provisions of Bihar Land Reforms Act, 1950 and a meeting convened on 21.06.2022 under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue, Registration and Land Reforms Department. Approval has been given on the proposal to vest powers in the State Government as per the instructions given for the transfer of records.
It is known that the revenue receipt of about half the land of Hazaribagh city was issued by the Hazaribagh Municipality. In the year 2011-12, the then SDO had banned this process. From then till now, people had to face many problems regarding the purchase and sale of land, mutation, etc. The district administration also did not have the authority to issue receipts, due to which the problem was getting complicated. Questions in this regard were also asked in the Assembly in the past. Many public representatives and local people had put forward the demand for redressal of this problem many times before the previous governments. But the solution was never found. The CM has given his consent to the proposal to issue receipt to the Revenue Department to simplify the process of issuance of receipt after knowing about the matter.
The CM also gave approval for the proposal to set up a degree college at Ranka sub-divisional headquarters under Garhwa district. It is to be known that before 2008, Ranka was under Garhwa Sadar subdivision. Since the formation of the subdivision, the demand for the degree college of the residents of Ranka was being made. In view of the demand of the Minister cum Garhwa MLA and the residents of the district, it has been decided to establish a degree college in the public interest. With the start of Degree College in Ranka, youth will get many opportunities for higher education and they will get a chance to move forward in future.
