Targeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for failing to control the economy of the county, national president of BJP Rajnath Singh has said that one need not be an economist but a realist to control the economy of a nation. Rajnath was speaking in Ranchi during an interaction with the intellectuals on Tuesday.
“People had many expectations from Manmohan ji that being an economist, he will save the Country from economic downfall, but he has failed to control the economy of the country,” said Rajnath.
Atal Bihari Vajpayee on the other hand, never allowed the country to get derailed on economic front despite several ups and down during his tenure, added Rajnath.
“Vajpayee ji took out the country from the global recession by extensive investment in the infrastructure sector and allowed the Pokharan test and the country was recognised on the nuclear front,” he said. According to Rajnath, the UPA government at the centre has failed not only on economic but it has failed on social and diplomatic fronts as well.
