The shaking chair with drizzles and snow makes me feel go and go…..,” this is the feeling when you watch a 7 or 11 dimension movie. The screening of such animated cinemas is proving a hit among the people of Ranchi.
Explaining the reason behind this liking, Umar Khan, the owner of Pandora theatre inaugurated on May 27 showing 7D movies said, “Ranchi viewer response at our theaters is far better than the metropolitan residents. Tickets for most of the shows are completely sold. Families with both their senior citizen and infant members are regularly visiting here.”
“Interestingly, some customers even come here four to six times to watch the same movie. Customers from other nearby districts like Jamshedpur, Dhanbad and Chatra are also witnessing here every week,” added Khan who is into this animated audio-visual business for past two years.
The 7D concept is just three years old in India. Meanwhile, the 11D concept is the newly introduced concept with Ranchi marking the first city to have such movie ambience in India.
Jawahar Vidya Mandir student Siddhant Goswami who along with his friends has been to Goosebumps theatre which was unveiled on July 18 presenting 11 D movies quoted, “The 11-D experience increases the perception of depth in a film manifold but also give viewers the excitement of lightning, rain, snow, smoke and bubble simulations with a feeling of neck blasts, aromas, seat vibrators, strobes, air blasts and leg ticklers in the theatre.” Similar to Siddhant, Doranda residents Sagnik Mukhopadhyay and Mohini Chakraborty shared their joyous experience of watching such movies.
