Finally 64 candidates remain in fray of four Assembly segments of Hazaribagh district after the end of withdrawal time.
Total 21 candidates in Hazaribagh Sadar segment, 16 in Mandu, 14 in Barhi and 13 candidates in Barkhathha Assembly segment will now fight with each other for the crown. The returning officers of all the segments have issued the symbols to the candidates. It was informed by DC Hazaribagh, Sunil Kumar in a press meet on Monday evening.
He also informed that 35 cases have been registered by the district administration for the violation of model code of conduct. The district administration has lodged 28 FIR on the district’s presidents of different political parties out of which 38 FIRs has been lodged. DC Sunil Kumar said that, “1152 EVM will be required for the booths of all the four segments. 1356 EVMs are available in district for this election. 6,400 polling personnel will be used in the election. We have already deputed 255 micro observers for the election purpose.” 2,000 vehicles will be needed for conduction of election.
