Taking a serious note of the Gomia rape case, State BJP on Saturday formed a six-member committee to enquire into it and submit a report to the State party president after identifying the culprits responsible for the incident. The State BJP unit, on the basis of the report will then try to build pressure on the government to take proper action against the culprits.

“A six-member team has been formed to visit the place and prepare a report to the State BJP president so that pressure could be built on the Government,” said State BJP Spoksersperson Sawarmal Agrawal. The team will comprise party leaders Seema Sharma, Anant Ojha, Usha Pandey, Rabindra Pandey, Vimla Pradhan and Meneka Sardar, added Agrawal.

A 10-year-old girl was dragged from her home in front of the villagers and raped by a 25-year-old man at the nearby forest on Tuesday. The girl was raped on the orders of a self-appointed headman of the village. He ordered that the girl be raped as revenge for her elder brother’s alleged attempt to molest her assaulter’s sister.

The rape was apparently done on the behest of a self appointed village headman as a revenge for the girl’s older brother’s alleged attempt to molest the assaulters’ sister.

According to the reports, the man had taken up the matter with the headman, alleging that the girl’s brother had tried to molest his sister on Monday night.

Meanwhile, a chargesheet regarding the failures of Hemant Soren Government in the last one year is being prepared by the senior BJP leader Saryu Roy to be further handed over to the Governor Syed Ahmed. The charge sheet was to be submitted to the Governor on July 16 but due to non-availability of Governor a new date is being taken for the purpose.
