Superintendent of Police (SP), Bokaro convened a meeting with senior police officers to review city’s law and order situation on Sunday. SP Kartik S scanned police station wise criminal cases, arrest of anti-social elements and also reviewed the Naxal activities in Bermo sub-division.
Bokaro SP said that the law and order situation in the Bokaro is absolutely under control. “We have succeeded to arrest 11 gangsters and 546 criminals convicted in a total of 271 cases in one year. Also, 17 criminals accused of rape have been convicted and 14 accused were convicted under POCSO act. Last year 77 coal mafias were arrested and 25 arms and 82 stolen motorbikes recovered,” he said.
According to police sources two more women police stations were made active and 112 cases out of 130 mobiles snatching incidents were solved in 2018. Also, May I Help you, Tiger mobile and Sakti App have been fully activated.
At the meeting, the SP interacted with the DSPs and asked them to give an account of crime scenario in their concerned police station areas.
SP said the police have to be pro-active in stopping crimes like snatching, theft, loot and arms-peddling in the city.
