Ranchi Smart City Corporation has made several arrangements for the safety of the residents of the capital. On one hand, with the help of Command Control and Communication Center, automatic traffic management is being done in the entire city, on the other hand, help is also being taken from the Command Center in controlling and solving crime.
Now if you are facing any emergency situation like you are passing through the road and an accident happens to you or someone in front of you, then you can directly connect with the government agencies. For this, yellow emergency call boxes have been installed at 50 important intersections of Ranchi city. As soon as the red button in this box is pressed, a voice will come from the Command Control Center, so that you can tell your problem. As soon as you tell the problem, the Smart City and Police team will contact the concerned agency for your help and provide you relief. For this, you neither need a mobile phone nor need to remember any number. There should just be a yellow box around you.
If there is a road accident, chain snatching, firing, assault, molestation or any other criminal incident, this box can be used for immediate help. It is not necessary that the victim calls. An eyewitness can also call to provide information for help. If there is a fire in the surrounding area, either the victim or the people nearby can use it to contact the fire brigade.
If there is an accident on the road, this box can also be used for ambulance service. The victim or any person present there can inform the command center about it. If information is received about wires, electric poles falling in a storm or dead cattle lying on the road, then information about it can be given to the command center.
At present, this facility has been provided at 50 centers in the city, but due to the construction of flyovers and widening of roads, some boxes have been removed. The boxes will be reinstalled as soon as the work is completed. At present, boxes have been installed at important places including Kanke Ring Road, Main Road Overbridge, Sahajanand Chowk, Shani Mandir Chowk, Harmu Chowk, Argora Chowk, Satellite Chowk, Kanke Road, Birsa Chowk, MECON Chowk, Sujata Chowk, Kokar Chowk.
