At least five members of a family, including three children, suffering from food poisoning were admitted to local health centre at Gomia block under the IEl, police station of Bermo sub-division in Bokaro district on Friday evening. The poisonous food was consumed by Ajay Rai and his all four family members including his wife Araya Nandani, two daughters namely Sweta Kumari, Salani Kumari and a son Akash Kumar celebrating Holi festival at his housing board colony in Gomia block.
According to reports, all the victims belonging to Government housing colony, Gomia who along with other family members had consumed delicious foods at 10 pm and developed symptoms of food poisoning after three hours when they complained about pain in the stomach and even started vomiting
All the five members of a family with similar symptoms were rushed to local health centre where Dr Haran Barla started their treatment and provided first–aid to the patents.
local body member Meena Devi, Officer-in charge of IEl police station Asutosh Kumar, social activists Pradeep Rawani, Pankanj Panday and Jitu Panday, who rushed to the PHC soon after been apprised with matter, had to face in their notice. The situation is under control, added the latest reports.
