In a disturbing development ,at least five gelatine sticks were today found on the railway tracks near Bhandari railway station in the limits of Chanderpura GRP, as authorities roped in security agencies to probe of suspected case of sabotage .
Having recovered the gelatine sticks, the GRP, Chanderpura registered an FIR and are investigating the case. The investigators have prima facie dismissed the incident as an act of mischief .
Sources said a railway men checking the track noticed five gelatine sticks between the rail tracks and informed railway authorities. GRP officials of Chanderpura visited the site and recovered the gelatine sticks, local GRP officials said.
Police sources said the gelatin sticks found near Bhandari-Chanderpura station on the Gomoh-Barkakana route of Eastern central Railway this morning at 8am by some rail gang men. The development comes in the backdrop of several suspected acts of sabotage in the Dania and Jageshwar-Bihar railway in the last two or three month.
Sources informed the sticks are old and look like discarded ones .They may not be live ammunition .No detonator was attached to the gelatine sticks so there was no possibility of explosion on its own, GRP sources said.
However, police denied the sabotage angle as far as the recovery of gelatin sticks was concerned, saying it could be an act of mischief as no detonator was attached to them.
