This year’s Vijayadashami proved deadly for people of the Ramgarh district of the State on the same day two horrific road accidents took place and caused the death of as many as five people in the district.
There has been a horrific road accident near the Danish petrol pump located in Hehal of Barkakana OP area in Ramgarh district, in which five people died.
Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Patratu, Birendra Kumar Chaudhary said, "All five were hit by an over speeding truck near Hehal village".
In relation to the incident, it is said that an uncontrolled truck coming from Bhurkunda side rammed the people standing on the roadside including two motorcycles. Due to which five people died on the spot itself.
It is said that four of the dead were members of the same family. They were going to see another Ravan Dahan program, a fair in Naya Nagar in the district.
In another incident an uncontrolled truck rammed three motorcycles near the Danish petrol pump in Ramgarh district. The four deceased were residents of Hehal village. After the incident, angry local people blocked the Patratu-Ramgarh main road after the accident took place and demanded early remuneration from the Government.
The injured have been admitted to Ramgarh Sadar hospital.
Meanwhile, a body was found on the railway track on Thursday, some distance from the Balkudara flyover of Bhurkunda in Ramgarh. The body is naked and mutilated. The face has been badly crushed, due to which the body has not been identified.
As soon as the dead body was found in the middle of the railway track in the morning, there was a crowd of people around. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the Railway Police reached the spot and took the body into custody. The youth could not be identified in the investigation. It is said that a red shirt and blue jeans have been found in the incident. Sensation has spread around including Balkudra after the body was found. Many dead bodies have been found here in the past on the railway track around the spot. At the same time, people are expressing a strong possibility of murdering elsewhere and throwing the dead body on the track.
