More than 900 non-executives of Central Coalfields Ltd (CCL) promoted to mark the 47th Foundation Day of Coal India Limited on Monday. Every year the Foundation Day is celebrated at Central Coalfields Limited, Darbhanga House, Ranchi and across the operational areas including hospital with zest and vigor on November 01.
CMD, CCL PM Prasad was attending a mega function at Coal India Ltd headquarters in Kolkata, West Bengal and received various prizes under different categories given to the company for performing exemplary works.
At CCL HQ Ranchi, Director (Pers), CCL PVKR Mallikarjuna Rao paid floral tributes to the martyred Coal warriors at Shaheed Smarak followed by General Managers and HODs and other dignitaries. Coal India flag along with CCL flag and those of operational areas was unfurled by Director (Pers) CCL along with General Managers, HoDs to celebrate the occasion. Similar programmes were organized in other areas of CCL, in which the employees participated with enthusiasm.
Rao said that Coal India Limited along with its subsidiaries is committed to contribute in the development of the Nation.
He expressed his gratitude to the company’s workers and said that even during the Covid Pandemic the workers have made sure that there is no dearth of Coal for the power plants in the country. He added that the company has undertaken various measures for the welfare of the stakeholders.
