=Suspected left ultras killed Kiran Sharma (35), a resident of Khapiya village of Keredari block, on Friday midnight at Nuniyadih, Keredari. Since last one month, the activity of left ultras has increased in this area. A week ago the ultras have kidnapped a youth, whose body was found later from Tandwa area. One more youth was kidnapped earlier and he is traceless yet. Kiran Sharma, son of Bhukhan Thakur of Khapiya village has gone to Batuka village to attend a marriage ceremony on Friday along with some other villagers.
In midnight, at about 12:30, when they were returning back near Nuniyadih village, 25 to 30 armed ultras stopped their vehicle and brought Sharma out of it. Villagers on the vehicle said that at first the ultras used force to terrorise everyone and then started blaming Sharma for being soft with TPC, though Sharma was never with any left organisation. Some villagers said that the ultras charged Sharma of being spy of opponent organisation and then opened fire on him.
At Nuniyadih village chowk the ultras shot thrice on Sharma. The co-passengers and villagers of Nuniyadih were in so much panic that no one came out of their houses neither the co-passengers dared to call anyone. Sharma died on the spot. later police was informed and then a case was registered in Keredari PS. Though the villagers cum co-passengers are saying involvement of JPC in this murder but till Saturday evening neither JPC nor TPC has taken the responsibility of this murder. The style of functioning of ultras indicates that it is a deed of MCC, who was said to be rooted out of the area. If it is so, then this murder is a serious alarm to the police administration of Hazaribagh.
