During the second day of International Conference on "Automation & Information Technology in Iron & Steel Making", as many as 34 technical papers were presented in three parallel venues at RDCIS, Ranchi.
In addition there were also 10 manufacturers' presentations spread in two sessions. Out of these five presentations were made by foreign delegates. The papers highlighted state-of-the art innovative solutions in the area of Automation, Wireless Technology, Web enabled IT applications, Fieldbus technology, Artificial Intelligence System, Power & control system which will help in improving the operational efficiency and bringing down the energy consumption in steel industry.
The technical papers were presented in six Technical Sessions with theme topics namely, Process Automation in Raw Material Handling, Iron & Steel Making Area, Application of Wireless Technology, Application of Information Technology, Automation Systems and Application of Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Controls & Power Electronics and Application of Automation & IT for augmenting Plant Performance.
