At least 30 shops were gutted in a blaze at Naya More in Bokaro on Saturday mid night. This is the fourth time when fire engulfed the shops, goods including others at the same nearest place, police said.
The fire engulfed 28 flower shops, one mobile recharge shop and a hotel. About 12.05 am fire broke out in the flower shops situated at NH-23 which spread to the shops nearby. After the stiff struggle of fire brigades and fire fighters, fire got controlled after several hours which destroyed goods including others, told an eyewitness.
The fire tenders succeeded in dousing the fire, after a long struggle of three hours. “More than five fire fighting vehicles and hundreds of local peoples were joined hands for the rescue”, added an eyewitness.
Shop owners alleged that some anti-social elements put the shops on fire while a fire official said, "We are probing the reasons behind the eruption of fire, though there is very little chances of short circuit. Right now its’ quit difficult to access the actual loss but it may assumed in lakhs,” he added.
