Three more new patients being detected in Giridih on Sunday night, said Civil Surgeon Ram Rekha Singh. Officials said that out of the 225 samples examined, three were found to be positive while 222 tested negative.
All the three new cases have been found in Giridih district with two being from the Birni block area while one is from Jamua. Jharkhand, so far, has registered three coronavirus deaths. Two deaths were recorded in Ranchi while the other death was recorded in Bokaro.
Meanwhile, one patient suffering from the virus has fully recovered and were sent back to his home during the last three days, the Civil Surgeon added. He maintained that all three have been admitted to the Covid-19 hospital, Bagia in Giridih for treatment.
The CS said all three were put under quarantine at government school in the district. All three men, who recently returned from Surat district in Gujrat.
Deputy Commissioner of the district, Rahul Sinha, on Monday, however, told people to not panic because of the sudden rise in cases in the district, pointing out that all of these had a direct relation to Surat in Gujarat.
