Three persons on Tuesday morning were killed by suspected ultras of the People's liberation Front of India (PlFI) at Mahabuang Thalkobera village in Simdega. According to police sources, pamphlets claiming the killing were recovered from the spot stating — ‘Those who dare to ditch the organization will have to face the same fate’.

“The ultras, numbering 10-12 persons dragged the three villagers out of their homes and slitting their throat at 4 am in the morning,” said a local police official. Those who got killed have been identified as Dharamjeet Singh, Krishna Singh and Raju Singh, who had no any criminal background in the police records. The pamphlet said the killed people were misusing the name of the organisation and were also working as police informers.

The PlFI cadres however, have denied any involvement in the killing claiming that the killings were done by so called D-company comprising two criminals Deep Narayan and Marwari Gope who are quite active in the area. “Sub-zonal commander Jaidhar Gope called up the media persons here, denying their hand in the killings,” said a local of Simdega.

The assailants used sharp weapons to perpetrate the crime while the police is still investigating the motive behind the killing.
