Three Class X students of Chanda High School, Ichak, were allegedly abducted and raped by their schoolmates. The police have lodged a case against Rajkumar Mehta, Sanjay Mehta, alias Punam, and Subhash Mehta, residents of Jalondh. Subhash Mehta was arrested while other two were absconding.
The incident took place on Thursday night. The parents of the girls reported to police that their daughters have been abducted while returning from school. Search operations were held to rescue the abducted girls. They were recovered from Rood village on Friday morning. DSP Ratneshwar Thakur and Inspector Awdhesh Kumar Singh talked to the victims who narrated the entire story. They said that the three accused met them near Bonga village and forcibly kept and raped them in an underconstruction house. In the morning, the accused left them in a house of Rood village which is said to be the house of a relative of the accused Rajkumar Mehta.
Medical examination of the girls were conducted at Sadar Hospital, Hazaribagh. On the other hand, the relatives of the accused are saying that it is not a case of abduction and rape. It is a matter of love affair and due to fear of their parents the girls are not telling the truth.
