3 FIRs in Chandwa killing after eruption of violence

The fallout of the daylight killing of a noted civil society activist Prahlad Sao in Chandwa in latehar district on June 15 is the institution of criminal cases by way of three FIRs.

Confirming the institution of 3 FIRs, the DIG of police Palamu range Saket Kumar Singh said the police would definitely book the killers and the offenders who wreaked havoc and rampage in Chandwa in the post murder outrage.

The first FIR was lodged by the son of the deceased Sao. The second FIR is lodged by the police against those who damaged the property of police like its 407 type van.

The third FIR is lodged against those who indulged in violence in the Toree railway coal siding where too property of the railways was damaged said the DIG. The DIG opined that the railways must have stepped forward for this FIR as it was their property which was vandalised.

Sources said as Sao was very popular among his people in Chandwa the shock and anger was most evident but some vested interests and anti-social elements took undue advantage of the fluid situation on June 15 and went on a massive ransacking and plundering of Government property.

Sources said ostensibly the FIRs centre around unidentified killers and offenders but the police have now got inputs with concrete note on presence and indulgence of people in post-murder violence.

The post-murder violence looked like a pent up act of offence sprouting in all its menace rather than any act of shock turning into unbridled anger, said sources. The DIG has assured that innocent law abiding citizen has not to worry but as for those whose offence is established in illegal and unlawful act will not be spared at all.
