3 doctors deputed in Palamu health centres

Thirteen government doctors have been deputed in sub health centres, primary health centres, first referral unit hospital, community health centre, Medinirai medical college and Medinirai medical college hospital.

Sources said principal secretary health Nitin Kulkarni was constantly asking Civil Surgeon Palamu John F Kennedy to depute doctor in even sub health centres and primary health centres. Sources said the need to depute doctors in remote areas was felt by DC Palamau Shashi Ranjan as during his visit to a far flung location Mohaammadganj Ranjan found sub health center there without any doctor. Ranjan asked Kennedy to depute doctor in other sub health centres too like Pipra,Nawa Bazar, Untari Road.

Sources said this is the first time that sub health centres will be having a doctor.

Sources said the deputed doctors will have their salary only when the medical officer in charge of the centres where these doctors have now been deputed submit the attendance sheet of the deputed doctors. However sources said noises were to come on this deputation and it is here too. A few doctors so shuffled had built an aura of no one can shake them but this deputation has not only deflated their ego but it is also set to cast a shadow on their practice. Sources said a smearing campaign is on against the Civil Surgeon Kennedy for making this deputation who when phoned for reaction declined to say anything saying ,” No comment.” Sources said Pipra, Untari Road, Mohaammadganj etc were such places in Palamu where people had learnt to see the village quacks as their Demi God. Sources said it is to be seen how many of the deputed doctors flout through order of the administration.
