A head-on collision between a bus and a motorcycle killed three persons travelling on the two-wheeler at Kandra area near Modak petrol pump under Pindrajora police limits in Bokaro district here on Tuesday morning, said police.
The bus was on its way to Bokaro from Jamshedpur. The trio travelling on the motorcycle (JH-09AL-2634) died on the spot under the impact of the collision.
On being informed, police reached the place and recovered the bodies for post-mortem. The identities of the deceased were Saurav Kumar,Vikash Kumar and Kaushal Kishor Mandal. All the deceased youths were of the age group of 16 to18.
Efforts were on to ascertain their native places on the basis of registration number of the damaged bike. The driver of the bus fled the spot after the road mishap. According to police the three friends were riding a motorbike and were going to attend the picnic near Green Park. The biker was overtaking a Parwati bus and the bike rider who was driving the bike failed to control it and collided head on with bus, killing all three on the spot.
