Central Coalfields limited has been awarded during 2nd Annual PSUs Summit and Awards 2015, which was held in New Delhi on August 26. It was organised by ElETS Technomedia in collaboration with Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE).
CCl was awarded for e-tendering with reverse bidding for successful implementation of information communication and technology. The company has been able to leverage technology to curb inflation and transparency in the bidding process. In the award ceremony, Arbind Prasad, CVO, CCl gave a detailed power point presentation (PPT) on various IT initiatives taken up in CCl. Director General, SCOPE U B Choubey, along with Chairman (ElETS Technomedia), Dr M P Narayanan, presented the award to Chief Vigilance Officer, CCl Arbind Prasad.
CCl has successfully implemented e-tendering process and reverse bidding. CMD Gopal Singh extended his heartfelt wishes and congratulated Arbind Prasad and team of CCl for this achievement. CCl management has been effectively using the IT technology in bringing transparency and accountability in various processes.
CCl has implemented e-tendering and reverse biding in coal auction, coal transportation, O B removal & transportation and other processes for last three years. In this way CCl has been able to curb the expenditure and save approximately in `1100 crore in last three years. E tendering and reverse bidding has reduced the tendering process by 30 days.
