Over two dozen patients suffering with serious diseases are waiting for Government assistance so that they can get treatment in some top hospitals of the country. But Civil Surgeon Hazaribagh is in a fix as 29 such hospitals are not giving the utilisation certificate of the amount given earlier.
According to the information given by Hazaribagh Civil Surgeon office, it has received `3,24,71,294 for giving assistance to the patients in need of specialised treatment or advice since 2014.
The civil surgeon office allotted `3,23,81,294 to different hospitals of the country with whom the Government of Jharkhand has made MOUs to treat poor patients of the State on the recommendation of civil surgeon of concerned district. Now, there is only `90,000 in Hazaribagh district, so civil surgeon is not in a position to recommend the case of any patient to these hospitals.
After taking the charge civil surgeon Hazaribagh, Dr RS Vandana talked personally with almost all hospital management who had not given the utilisation certificate yet and requested them to submit it as soon as possible. She told them that many patients are waiting for her approval and recommendation but she cannot do so because the office needs utilisation certificate of previous amount given to you.
Unfortunately the renowned hospitals of the country ignored her request so she wrote a letter to the chief secretary of the state to take action against the erring hospitals. Perhaps after the intervention of chief secretary some hospitals submitted utilisation certificate of `1,04,73,042 but yet wait is on for the utilisation certificate of `2,19,08,252 rupees given to different hospitals and the patients are suffering here.
Among the list of these top hospitals of the country CMC Vellore is at the top who had not submitted the utilisation certificate of `58,99,620. Appolo Irba, Appolo Calcutta, Alam Hospital Ranchi, BM Birla Kolkata, RIMS Ranchi, Medica Ranchi, NH Hospital Bengaluru, NH Kolkata, PGI Chandigarh, TMH Mumbai, MRI Kolkata, DH Kolkata, BNH Jamsedpur, SGPGI lukchnow, MCH Patna, etc are in the list of hospitals who had not yet submitted the utilisation certificate of the amount given to them from Hazaribagh Civil Surgeon Office.
