Against the target of opening 26,000 accounts on the launch day of the Jan Dhan Yojana, 27,553 accounts were opened by the banks and their branches of Hazaribagh District. It was informed by DC Sunil Kumar in a function organised in town hall to launch the scheme in the District.
A good gathering of general people, administrative and bank officials and staffs first witnessed the live telecast of launching of this scheme by PM Narendra Modi and then DC and others launched the scheme by lighting the lamp.
DC Sunil Kumar and Zonal Manager BOI Amit Roy informed about the benefits of this scheme and appealed to everyone to help in making this scheme successful for the benefit of society.
