A 22-year-old youth of Rajabazar drowned in Bokaro river at six unit area under the Bokaro police station early Monday morning. The deceased was identified as Suraj Saw son of late Bablu Saw
According to police the incident occurred on Monday morning when the deceased had gone to the Bokaro river with other two friends to take a bath. The youths advanced till the middle of the river and drowned before the eyes of their friends, police sources said.
Meanwhile the body of Saw was recovered after six hours of struggle and sent to the sub-division hospital, Tenughat for the postmortem. The police officials said that the mishap occurred due to complete negligence.
