Digital locker facility in railways
Now while traveling in the train, if any passenger logs onto her/his Digital locker account and shows their Aadhaar card (UIDAI) or driving license in the ‘issued documents’ section then it will be considered as a valid identity card. However, it must be noted that the ‘uploaded documents’ by an individual, uploaded in the ‘uploaded documents’ section, will not be considered valid.
Heavy discount in BSNl’s WINGS
BSNl has announced heavy discount in on its flagship scheme WINGS started on July 25. According to the scheme now Government and PSU employees will get 50 per cent rebate on registration, while the service has been made free for two months for the existing landline customers. Also students will get 20 per cent discount for the scheme. Jharkhand circle GM (Marketing) Ramashray Prasad said that the present offer has been made keeping in mind requirements of varied persons.
Membership awareness meet
SBI Officers’ Association Patna circle is going to organize a membership awareness meeting in the wake of its three-year elections. The meeting will be organized at the canteen hall of SBI, Ranchi Branch on August 22. President of SBI officers’ association Ranchi Circle Anup Kumar gave the information.
Regional committees constituted
Around ten Regional Committees have been constituted in Ranchi Municipal Corporation (RMC) for better management of wards under Section 49 of the Municipal Act. The notification regarding the same was issued by the Department of Urban Development, Housing and Planning on Tuesday. The regional committee will consist of elected members of five wards, if necessary, additional 1-2 members will be inducted in the committee. As per the rules, the framework for the committee will be prepared by the State government.
