The Secretary to CM, Sunil Kumar Barnwal today asked to take action on errant officials who have not been discharging their duties properly. He reviewed the complaints lodged at the JAN Samvad Center on Tuesday. A total of nine complaints were reviewed.
On a complaint about the water tower that was constructed two years ago by PHED in lakhanpur, situated at the Topchanchi of Dhanbad district, Barnwal directed the Nodal Officer of Dhanbad to constitute a panel against the careless executive engineer and commence the official action against him as the water tower is still dysfunctional.
Another complaint was from Garhwa where district’s nodal officer was due to pay the sum of Rs 11, 260 to the applicant, Farid Shaikh, from the salary of the Block Development Officer as the Drought Relief amount. Barnwal directed the officials to ensure compliance within a week and to report.
Taking serious note over a complaint from Ranchi University where Panchami Kumari a para teacher belonging to the New Primary School, Hanthu, Bero, was not paid honorarium for the year he concluded that there has been complete carelessness in the verification process of registration by the University. It was later found that the Doranda School’s intermediate passed para teacher’s certificate missed the registration number that made the Block Education Extension Office (BEEO) block the honorarium of the teacher from May 2016. Branwal instructed the Nodal Officer of the Jharkhand Higher and Technical Education Department, that under the Right to Service the responsibility must be decided in the university and should be reported immediately to the Chief Minister Secretariat, ensuring compliance.
Regarding the case from latehar District about Deepak Ranjan who supplied stationery items in District Election Branch during Nagar Panchayat Election-2013, the Chief Minister's secretary asked the district nodal officer to ensure payment of the amount in a week.
