IEI holds 32nd National Convention
The Institution of Engineers (India), Jharkhand State Centre, Ranchi in association with Centre for Engineering & Technology (CET), Ranchi, SAIl, has organized the 32nd National Convention of Production Engineers (NCPE-2017) & a National Seminar on “Improving Competitiveness in Manufacturing - Make in India to Made in India” on 27th- 28th May, 2017 at Engineer Bhawan, Ranchi. The inaugural session has started with welcome address by Sanjay Sen, Chairman, IEI, JSC. The Convention was inaugurated by Atul Bhatt, CMD, MECON – the Chief Guest of the programme. SK Saha, ED, SAIl, the Guest of Honor, in his address deliberated on the ways to achieve competitiveness in manufacturing while adhering to the safety and quality norms.
Survey of under-construction Haj House
A delegation led by Hamid Manzoor Ahmed Ansari, head of Jharkhand State Haj Committee, took stock of the under-construction Haj House situated in Kadru. During the delegation, it was directed to finish-off the plinth level construction before the monsoon. Also, he stated that the quality of the construction work ought not to be compromised upon. Moreover, the construction work should be complete in due time.
Seminar on ‘Environment Conservation’ at NUSRl
A seminar on protection and restoration of environment and ecology was organized at National University of Study and Research in law (NUSRl) on Saturday. The Advisor of Maneka Gandhi, Minister, Women and Child Development, Government of India, Gauri Maulekhi addressed the gathering on the topic ‘Environmental Justice in 21st Century’ touching some prominent issues like depletion of ground water level, climate change, water crisis etc. The seminar was organized under the aegis of Yugaantar Bharti and Mission Blue.
Awareness on Heart-diseases
Seven Palms Hospital and Research Center and Railway Hospital organized a seminar on awareness of the heart-diseases at the Railway Club. All the railway officials partook in the seminar. The chief guest of the event was Santosh Kumar Agarwal, DRM. Dr R K Roy, Chairman of the Palms Hospital informed the officials regarding the ways in which such cardiac diseases can be recognized and also the ways to its prevention.

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachhan attended the wedding cepetion ceremony of noted actor Ali Khan’s daughter Asna Ali’s wedding ceremony on May 19 in Mumbai. Aprt from Bachhan a host of bollywood celebrities attended the ceremony and blessed the newlywed couple .
