Political scenario for Kolabira Zilla Parishad seat under Jharsuguda district is getting hot by the day.
While other parties are busy in selecting candidates for the seat, the BJP has declared the name of Binodini Naik of Phalakpada as the nominee for the seat.
Congress candidates have repeatedly won from this seat. Congress won three times from three seat, while BJD once. During 1997 election, Bhanisankar Naik was elected from Congress.
Similarly in 2002, Mini Tandkar from Congress, in 2007 Jagabandhu Kisan from BJD and in 2012 Renuka Kansrali from Congress won from the seat. Further, the elected candidates from this seat got Zilla Parishad president post twice. BJD is hopeful of better performance this time.
