Security forces seize Maoists' banner in latehar

laat and Karamdee are two places under Chhipadohar police station in latehar district where Maoists are lying in wait to strike at their opportune time while the security forces are out to outdo them said sources. Contingent of Chhotu Kharwar and Birsai are hiding at laat and Karamdee. Sources said security forces have seized a Maoist banner from this jungle under Chhipadohar police station.

SP latehar Anoop Birtharey confirmed the seizure of the Maoists’ banner saying Chhotu Kharwar and Birsai along with others are holed up there. On being asked that Maoists hoist black flag parallel to tri colour on I-Day Birtharey said with a pinch of candid sarcasm ‘Maoists use two inch black cloth which they khouns(tug) it into any crevices of the wall of any Government building’. The Maoists do not now use any big or full size black cloth to look like any flag rather a two inch piece of cloth they prefer to register their protest against the I-Day reiterated Birtharey. There is no point in making any exercise to lay hands on it by our boys as this Maoists do in the most remote and cut off areas. Sources said Bareebandh is one more place under Garu police station where report is Sudhakar is present with his Andhra Pradesh cadres. Birtharey did not disagree with this information of the Pioneer. Sources said the security forces are tactical in the wake of the coming I-Day function and extreme care caution and alert has been sounded by the chief of the latehar police.
