RU Students’ election after Durga Puja
Ranchi University students’ election is ones again postponed. Now the students’ election will be conducted after the Durga Puja. In the Syndicate sub committee meeting decision was taken. Ramchandra Naik, Satish Chandra Gupta with the Professor Vice Chancellor M Raziuddin presided over the meeting.
8 selected for Special Olympics National Camp
Special Olympics Bharat will conduct week-long first men’s National Coaching Camp for Floor Ball at Jaipur from Tuesday to prepare for Austria 2017 Special Olympics World Winter Games. To select the SOB Jharkhand team, four-day training cum selection camp was conducted from Thursday where 25 special athletes from the State participated. Out of them, eight were selected for the national camp.
DC sacks 188 inactive Krishi Mitras
Ranchi DC Manoj Kumar, while reviewing the Agriculture Department and related departments on Monday, found that 188 Krishi Mitras had zero attendance. Kumar ordered that they be suspended and that any Krishi Mitras who has not helped in registration of even one Kishan Credit Card should be fired. He expressed concern over the low rainfall affecting crops in the State.
Army recruitment drive from Sept 30
The district-wise schedule of Army recruitment drive was published on Monday. The drive will be conducted in Ranchi on September 30 and October 5, 6 and 9 when the applicant will be selected for the post of nursing assistant, technical wing, clerical wing and tradesman and general category respectively. The applicants have been instructed to keep their admit card in perfect condition on their person when appearing for the test.
55th Foundation Day at Sarveswari Samooh
The fifty-fifth foundation day of Ranchi chapter of Sarveswari Samooh was observed on Monday. A prabhat feri was organised to mark this occasion, which began from Kishorganj and ended at Harmu Road. A conference on ‘Our Contribution in Social Awareness’ was also organised.
Rajeev Puri at JSIA
Rajeev Puri, an experienced executive with experience of working for several renowned companies, talked to member of Jharkhand Small Industries Association on Monday. He focussed on development of micro, small and medium scale industries in context of Target 2020. Many members of JSIA attended the speech.
JCI bike rally to promote Expo Utsav 2015
Junior Chamber International organised a bike rally on Monday to promote the upcoming Expo Utsav 2015. Around 50 members of JCI, carrying promotional posters and wearing t-shirts promoting the event, participated in the rally. Around 300 companies are expected to showcase their goods at Expo Utsav 2015.
Participation of ATDC in silk expo 2015
Six students of Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC) participated in Silk mark expo organized at hotel Radisson Blu. All relevant information about the silk to customers was provided by the ATDC candidates. Silk tests were conducted on the spot for the satisfaction of customers by ATDC candidates.
