Training on ‘Improved Rice Dev Techniques’
A two day residential training programme on the topic — ‘Improved Rice Development Techniques’ was organized by the Rice Development Directorate, Government of India on Thursday and Friday. According to Deputy Director (Training) Nibha Bara, training to the technical assists of Agricultural Departments, BTM and Agricultural Advisors of 14 districts were incorporated during the two day training programme. \
CM assurance for ISM, Dhanbad
CM Raghubar Das has assured a delegation of ISM, Dhanbad students for early declaration of the institute as IIT. The assurance was given when the CM met the delegation led by Dhanbad MlA Raj Sinha on Friday. The CM said that he would raise the issue with his meeting with Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely on September 4.
Sports day held at Cambrian Public School
Sports day was organised at the Cambrian public school on Friday. Sports are an integral part of academics. For all round development a students must also focus on the sports activities. “Girls must also participate in all sports activities for all round development and must be encouraged by their respective parents”, said Param Singh, Secretary. The event was inaugurated by the Principal Neeta Singh.
lions Club organises Eye Check-up Camp
lions Club Ranchi East organizes the Eye Check up Camp in Mander Village Kargi. Around 120 patients were diagnosed in the medical camp. 30 patients were diagnosed with cataract whose operation will be conducted soon. Four Sewing machines were given to the women and new clothes were also distributed among the kids in Mander.
IMS organises business quiz competition
Institute of Management studies, Ranchi University organizes business competition for its students. 3 groups (A,B,C) participated in the event. In which group A emerged as the winner. Professor S K Singh was present as the chief guest and encouraged students to organize such events in future also. Students were also presented with the certificate.

Oriental Bank of Commerce opened its updated branch within the Ranchi University campus on Friday. State Environmental Impact Assessment Authority organised a workshop on “Online Submission of Applications for Obtaining Terms of Reference/ Environmental Clearance” on Friday. The workshop has been organised for creating awareness and for dissemination in the filing of online applications for environmental clearance.
