DC holds CSR meeting

Ranchi: Ranchi DC Manoj Kumar held a meeting on CSR on Tuesday. The discussion focused on drinking water, sanitation, education, health and women empowerment. Corporate houses like Usha Martin, IOC and Hindalco are working with the government for CSR activities.

Meeting at Jharcraft

Ranchi: A meeting was held in the office of Managing Director, Jharcraft on Tuesday. This meeting was held regarding the selection of entries for National/Shilpguru award. The chairman and members of Jharcraft were present in the meeting. The state level committee recommended the entries for National/Shilpguru award.

Awareness Campaign of Ranchi Police

Ranchi: The federation chamber and Ranchi police organised an awareness campaign on Tuesday with the combined effort of police and guards. The aim of the campaign was to control crime in the city. The campaign kicked off with poster advertisement at Hariom Tower under lalpur police station and at Ratanlal Jain Complex under Sukhdevnagar police station.

BJP leader adopts Orphan Singer

Ranchi: BJP leader Sanjay Seth on Tuesday adopted 16 year old Tumpa Gupta, a visually challenged orphan and a Class 8 student of Brajkishore Netraheen Balika Vidyalaya.  Tumpa has been offered a singing opportunity by Bollywood Music Director Ravindra Jain after HRM students of XISS uploaded her singing video on Facebook and Whatsapp. An appointment with Ophthalmologist Bharti Kashyap has been arranged on Wednesday for Tumpa’s eye check up and further treatment.
